HDA Partners with the CFA Institute - CFA Career Day Bahrain (13.2.2010)

HDA has 30 years experience working across the financial services and banking sectors, both in the UK, and internationally via our international partnership, CareerNet International, (http://www.careernet-international.org/).

The investment banking / fund management sector has experienced significant transition over the past 24 months, and local and international career prospects within the sector have changed dramatically. Opportunities are scarcer at all levels, and people at all career stages within the sector require new approaches to raising their personal profile, networking and influencing others.

HDA is pleased to announce an upcoming professional career collaboration event with the CFA Institute, (http://www.cfainstitute.org/), a leading financial sector tertiary education provider. The event will be held at the Gulf Hotel, Manama, Bahrain on 13 February.

Hosted by CFA Bahrain, CFA Career Day Bahrain is designed for financial professionals interested in developing the career management skills that contribute to a successful and rewarding career, including personal branding, networking techniques, and influencing skills. It is envisaged that attendees from across the GCC region will attend, including from Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

HDA’s Paul Jones will lead the event. Paul specialises in coaching for individual performance and career leverage, and has a keen understanding of what it takes to achieve career success in a challenging/changing environment. He has over 20 years experience of supporting career transition needs at all levels and disciplines across a broad range of sectors, including to MD/SVP level within financial services. He has also worked with CEOs on 1:1 coaching assignments in the areas of transitioning into new roles, building strategies for approaching key interviews, and presentations. Paul runs a number of HDA senior career development/transition seminars.
