HDA Generation F (Facebook Generation) Survey September 2011 - mini milestone update - the 1st 100 responses from business leaders & HR
HDA has delivered staff engagement services for a number of years. We appreciate more and more however that ensuring effective team engagement is definitely not about one-size fits all approaches to leadership, communication, rewards or career management.
Amongst other things, to ensure engagement you also require a great deal of innovative thinking, which needs to be supported by innovative uses of new communication technologies.
The most valuable and talented people are likely to already be using these technologies, including Facebook, Twitter, Xing, Plaxo, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo, the new Google+ which is currently under testing, etc ), via computer and/or smartphone. The future workforce; currently at school, at college or university, certainly will be.
We are keen to learn more about what key opinion groups think about what drivers are likely to engage ‘Generation F’, the Facebook Generation, in the workplace to release its significant collaborative and creative talents.
A. Measuring employer / HR opinions: During August we pre-released the following survey on a largely viral basis to a selection of corporates in the UK and internationally, and have received over 100 responses to date to t
his survey for employers.
If you are a business leader / HR professional, please click in the link to the employer / HR survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DX25FYN and feel free to add your views, and you will receive a summary of the results if you provide us your contact details.
We aim to obtain at least 500 responses by the end of October 2011 before we release the initial 2011 survey summary report, and we hope that the survey will continue to generate responses from organisations in all sectors on a viral basis.
Here is a snippet of what our first 100 leaders and the HR community respondents are telling us, so please help business leaders and HR professionals learn more by encouraging your colleagues to participate:
