HDA launches new CareerNet International-branded Online Career Services
HDA has worked as a career management and transition specialist for over 30 years, and we are proud to have been founder members of and shareholders in CareerNet International for the past 15 years. More on our CareerNet International activities can be found here.
HDA's announcement of its strategic alliance with EEF earlier this year, (more here) creates a powerful new UK provider of specialist career transition / outplacement services to the manufacturing sector both across the UK, and internationally via HDA's CareerNet International partnership. Read here for further details on the EEF website and click here to download the EEF / HDA outplacement service brochure.
During 2010, HDA developed a unique online career offering, the HDA Career Transition Planner, which underpins our online career support services.
As a response to increased client demand for HDA career services to be delivered internationally, and in anticipation of international assignments via EEFand other strategic partners; an international version of this HDA planner has been developed by HDA, and this new online tool was demonstrated during CareerNet International's AGM and member meeting in Geneva* during the first week of October.
According to Clayton Glen, HDA's CEO:
'Online career management and transition tools with true international scalability and local authenticity are in limited supply, and we are delighted to have developed an offering together with our technical partners for broader application across CareerNet International's multi-country projects.
Further investment in this online offering makes sense, as online is definitely not everything in career management, but it certainly lends itself to assisting the delivery of common professional service levels across multi-country projects.
Our clients are increasingly demanding cross-border service consistency, albeit delivered by local experts according to local best practice and shared CareerNet quality standards, and in this respect, technology is a great international service leveller.'
* During this meeting, Jerry Knock, of OasYs in France, was voted in as new CNI Chairman. Bert Lagerweij (Van Ede - Netherlands) and Clayton Glen (HDA - UK) remain as CNI Directors, and Rick Cobb (Challenger, Gray & Christmas, USA) and Bernardo Entschev (De Bernt Entschev, Brazil) join the CNI Board.
