HDA / CFA Institute Career Day in Bahrain - Leveraging Banking Careers in the Middle East

HDA has 30 years experience working across the financial services and banking sectors, both in the UK, and internationally via our international partnership, CareerNet International, (www.careernet-international.org).

The investment banking / fund management sector has experienced significant transition over the past 24 months, and local and international career prospects within the sector have changed dramatically. Opportunities are scarcer at all levels, and people at all career stages within the sector require new approaches to raising their personal profile, networking and influencing others.

HDA was pleased to collaborate with the CFA Institute, (www.cfainstitute.org), a leading financial sector tertiary education provider, during the CFA Bahrain Career Day at the Gulf Hotel, Manama, Bahrain, on 13 February. Attendees from across the GCC region attended the event, including delegates from Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

The CFA Bahrain's Career Day was designed for financial professionals interested in developing the career management skills that contribute to a successful and rewarding career, including personal branding, networking techniques, and influencing skills. HDA's Paul Jones led the event. Paul specialises in coaching for individual performance and career leverage, and has a keen understanding of what it takes to achieve career success in a challenging/changing environment. He has over 20 years experience supporting career transition needs at all levels and disciplines across a broad range of sectors, including to MD/SVP level within financial services. He has also worked with CEOs on 1:1 coaching assignments in the areas of transitioning into new roles, building strategies for approaching key interviews, and presentations. Paul runs a number of HDA senior career development/transition seminars.
