HDA OVERVIEW
HDA Events
Incident Management Training
2-Day Workshop
Government legislation and guidance together with guidance from the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) indicate that in the event of a major emergency or disaster; practical and emotional support should be provided for those affected by the event. If the emergency or disaster is related to a person’s work, then their employer should provide an appropriate level of care to ensure that those involved are managed well and those most at risk of developing psychological problems are identified and provided with help.
Recognising the above mentioned legislation and guidance, HDA has developed a workshop which seeks to train managers to provide an appropriate and effective response to the emotional and practical needs of staff involved in traumatic incidents - both immediately and longer term, with a view to identifying those who are experiencing negative effects and ensuring they are provided with support and appropriate help. In addition the company will experience improved employee relations and be capable of providing such support. This workshop is based on a trauma support model which provides non-psychological, practical and empathic support and identifies those who are more vulnerable so that they can be linked into a formal psychological intervention.
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is for all Managers who are keen to ensure respond effectively to the emotional and practical needs of staff involved in traumatic incidents.
