Coaching – Financial Services

Business Context/Objectives

The organisation was a leading specialist investment organisation; keen to develop and motivate their staff members to improve performance and achieve organisational objectives. With this in mind, one of their senior analysts was requested coaching to develop their interpersonal confidence in challenging situations. The organisation were keen to support the individual and asked HDA to undertake the coaching.

HDA Approach

Our approach to supporting the senior analyst followed our typical 3 month coaching programme process, involving an Initial compatibility meeting followed by three 90 minute face-to-face coaching sessions. Any pre-work was emailed to the senior analyst in advance of each session. At the initial session, a programme outline was defined with the senior analyst and utilising techniques drawn from psychodynamic psychology, NLP and Transactional Analysis the coach designed a strategy for developing interpersonal confidence/resourcefulness.

Business Value Obtained from Coaching (including individual outcomes if coaching)

The client reported significant improvement and achievement of original objective - to develop skills and strategies to enhance interpersonal effectiveness. In addition, the senior analyst achieved a major promotion during the course of the coaching contract.
