Why we work in this area
HDA has worked in this area for almost 30 years, with significant success supporting the spouses and partners of senior managers relocating to another country, including helping them to secure offshore employment, self employment opportunities, and so on.
Often senior clients relocate internationally and this creates a range of problems and opportunities for their partners and spouses. Most often, organisations relocating key staff provide domestic support to spouses and partners in the form of eg. access to language training, access to legal advice (work permits, etc), access to local networking, introductions to local schools, clubs and so on, however, it is very infrequently that effective career leverage support is provided to their partners/spouses.
Very often that partners/spouses of senior relocatees are developing their careers as well, and our service gives them the best possible leverage to optimize their offshore opportunities.

- HDA actively coordinates foreign career transition support activity wherever in the world it is required via our network of international offices, to secure new opportunities for partners/spouses in the employed and self-employed sectors, and to achieve speedy integration in the host country
- Our consultant work flexibly within the programme and tailor the content to the needs of individuals.
