- HDA has developed a unique offering in this area, the HDA 9-Box Matrix © Team engagement survey, which sets out to ‘pulse test’ the degree to which people across the organisation are ‘engaged’ with the objectives of the organisation, and the degree to which there are any specific factors across the organisation which need to be managed to improve associate engagement levels.

Our approach in this area
- HDA’s surveys are delivered online, by e-mail and in hard-copy, and these are supported by a strong devils advocacy/outcomes-focused approach to focus-group facilitation
- We ensure that corporate clients clearly own the process, and we brand the process accordingly, in line with key internal communication programmes
- Our approach is about identifying manageable issues which can be constructively dealt with – it is not about measuring opinion, or creating metrics, or creating benchmarks in the first instance.
- It is a means (a measure) towards an end (organisational improvement), rather than an end in itself. A good associate engagement survey leads to actions, and this is in keeping with HDA’s strong outcomes-focused approach which it applies to all areas of its consultancy
- for this reason, the survey process is not overly complex, and it is intended that the results of the survey are capable of being followed up in a managed, systematic fashion
