Why we work in this area

• HDA has provided a broad range of staff wellness services to a range of organisations in all sectors for almost 20 years, including counseling support services (individual and group behavioural, stress and trauma/incident counseling), stress management facilitation, time management facilitation, incident management facilitation, staff incident support helplines, and so on
• HDA sees staff wellness as a core element of team engagement, and as a key element of any comprehensive talent strategy - a team that is ‘well’ functions effectively, and is less prone to performance issues, absenteeism, poor time management and so on
• Having the capacity and resource to manage wellness issues whilst supporting client organisations in other areas is a key area of value-add for organisations working with HDA during times of transition,

Our competencies in this area

• HDA’s team comprises a team of 200 BACP-registered associates counselors, who are regularly called upon to support HDA clients across the UK
• HDA’s Wellness team includes key thought leaders in the area of organisational stress management
• HDA’s facilitation team has significant experience working with a broad range of organisations to deliver facilitated wellness programmes in a broad range of circumstances

Our approach in this area

• HDA takes a very strong outcomes-focused approach to delivering consultancy in this area; challenging organisations we work with to apply the most appropriate interventions to enhance organisation wellness, and the ability of managers to positively impact staff wellness
• HDA is very familiar with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) Stress Standards, and has incorporated these sensible guidelines into much of its wellness work; providing our clients with essential guidance to minimize risk and reduce the costs of organisational stress
